On 16 December 2004, fundamental reforms to the appointment process for Veterans Review and Appeal Board Members were announced.

Under the selection process, which is competency-based, prospective candidates must:

  2. Provide any additional information believed to be useful. If the space provided is not sufficient, you may supplement it by attaching additional numbered pages.
  3. Send applications (and other material) to the address:

The last deadline for the submission of applications in 2010 was June 30. Applications submitted to the Board after this closing date will be acknowledged but will only be considered in 2011. The deadlines for the submission of applications in 2011 are February 28 and August 31.

The government is committed to ensuring that its appointments are representative of Canada's regions and official languages, as well as of women, Aboriginal peoples, disabled persons and visible minorities.
