Roger Langille was appointed to the Veterans Review and Appeal Board in 2008. His career as a lawyer spanned almost 30 years in private practice and as Senior Counsel with the Office of the Attorney General of Prince Edward Island. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1993. Mr. Langille has extensive litigation experience in the preparation and trial of hundreds of cases, including medical malpractice and personal injury claims, applications for judicial review, and constitutional law challenges. In addition to appearing frequently before the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island (Trial and Appeal Division), Mr. Langille also argued cases before the Supreme Court of Canada and the Federal Court. He brings to the Board many years of experience appearing before and providing counsel to numerous administrative and quasi-judicial tribunals, including the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission, the Public Utilities Commission, and the Prince Edward Island Human Rights Commission.
Mr. Langille obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree from Dalhousie University.Mr. Langille resides in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. He is a former council member of the Law Society of Prince Edward Island and served for a number of years as Director and Vice President of Special Olympics Prince Edward Island.
