Melanie Malchuk was first appointed to the Veterans Review and Appeal Board in August 2019. She was reappointed in August 2024.
Ms. Malchuk worked as an Independent Hearing Adjudicator with Correctional Services of Alberta. She brings a combined 24-year in-depth work experience between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Alberta Human Rights Commission.
Ms. Malchuk holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Great Falls and a Law Enforcement Diploma from Lethbridge Community College. A lifelong learner, she continues to participate in audio conferences about employment and human rights laws.
Ms. Malchuk is fluent in both English and French.
